Doctoral Research: I am looking at William Blake's mechanical and organic figures, studying Blake's attitude towards organisation with an ecocritical nuance.
Tara Lee is a third year DPhil candidate at Corpus Christi College. She completed her BA (Hons) and MPhil (Distinction) at the University of Cambridge (Queens’ College). Her AHRC-funded thesis examines regeneration as a biological concept in the works of William Blake. Her article on the idea of song in Keats’s poetry won the 2018 Keats-Shelley Essay Prize. Her academic interests include literature and science, visual culture, and psychoanalysis.
Tara has taught for Paper 6 (Literature and Science) and Paper 5 (Teaching Mentoring Scheme). She has also taught a workshop on exam essay writing and completed the Humanities Division DLT (Developing Learning and Teaching) scheme.
