Doctoral Research: My doctoral thesis explores the representations and functions of visual art in contemporary Anglo-American fiction. I focus on the figure of the artist, the artistic process and the work of art in novels by Donna Tartt, Siri Hustvedt, Amy Sackville, Hanya Yanagihara, Claire Messud, Don DeLillo, John Banville and others.
