Research Interests: Literature and theology; the eighteenth century; romanticism.

Doctoral Research: My research is chiefly concerned with drawing out the theological and literary complexities of Cowper's 'Olney Hymns', and with reconsidering the text both within the Evangelical tradition of the eighteenth century, and the local context within and for which the hymns were written.
